Hello from Amber and Eric!

If you're one of the many family, friends and co-workers that we told about this site before we left, welcome! We're glad you made it and hope you're enjoying what we're able to publish from the road.

If you've just surfed on in or heard about this site from somewhere else, you're also welcome, but you might need a little more history. We were born, grew up, met each other, romanced, fell in love, got married, and continue to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Although we have each traveled at times to other parts of the United States, we haven't been to the same places. Sometime in 1997, we decided to take a trip all around the country and see everything there is to see! The trip started Saturday, August 15, 1998, and will end in late September 1998. Regarding our route: if we knew exactly where we were going and when we'd be there, what fun would that be? ('nuff said!)

Sometime not too long before the trip started, Eric thought it would be interesting to try and make a "live" web site out of the trip. In theory, a great idea -- in practice, well, here we are, and it's certainly an interesting experiment trying to piece things together from the road and get them online.
