on our route without missing a stop! It's easy!

We decided to visit Canyon de Chelly ("Canyon duh Shay") on the recommendation of Eric's grandmother, who lives in Florence and has made trips to most of the major attractions in Arizona. This is the first place we decided to go that wasn't on our original list of potential places to visit, and it's gorgeous.

The Canyon is part of the Navajo Nation, and all tours into the Canyon are given by Navajo guides. Aside from the beauty of the Canyon itself, the tour focuses on the Anasazi and Navajo Indian ruins built into the cliffs. There are many stories that go along with parts of the Canyon and the ruins, some of which we will attempt to incorporate here as we have time. For now, check out the photos!
