Simply the best ice cream on Earth. We couldn't rave enough about it if we tried.

Fat City Smokehouse
Moab, UT
The BBQ sauce they make at the Smokehouse is phenomenal, too bad they don't bottle it!

Harris Teeter Market
Chapel Hill, NC
This market sells their own "White Corn and Black Bean Salsa" and it's amazingly good. So good, we brought some 7,000 miles home with us.

The Gumbo Shop
Vieux Carre, New Orleans, LA
Gumbo and jambalaya -- yummmm!

Chicago River Architectural Tour
Chicago, IL
This 1.5 hour tour shows you all the wonderful architecture of the city as seen from the Chicago River.

Gettysburg Bus Tour
Gettysburg, PA
So much to see and learn! The reason this tour was so good was that our guide was fantastic. It's worth an extra few bucks to get a certified guide who knows the history and can relay it well.

Oak Alley Plantation Tour
Oak Alley Plantation, LA
Not having been to any other plantations, we can't say if this is the best there is, but it was fun and the oaks are beautiful.

CNN Tour
Atlanta, GA
Sort of a predictable tour, but also very interesting to see the inside of this mega-media complex.

Johnson Space Center Tour
Houston, TX
The docents warned that the JSC was "just like what you see in the pictures in the Space Center." So wrong! It's wonderful to be right in the middle of the space technology and see it being built up close. If you go to the Space Center, don't miss JSC.

Canyon de Chelly All-Day Tour
Chinle, AZ
To go up both sides of the canyon in a monster 6x6 vehicle to see all of the cliff dwellings takes all day long, but it's a lot of fun and you get lunch on the way. If you come during monsoon season (like we did), bring a raincoat!
