Our trip to Chicago was too brief to coincide with a Cubs game -- otherwise we would have made every effort to encourage Sammy Sosa to homer his way to a new record. But Chicago is large (but accessible) and full of many, many other things to do. This is what we were able to fit into our two-day visit:

- a celebrity encounter on Navy Pier
- a walk around downtown to see the Sears Tower, Oktoberfest, etc.
- a White Sox game at Comiskey Park
- an architectural boat tour on the Chicago River
- dinner at the Mashed Potato Club
- an improv comedy show at Second City
- the Bahai Temple in Willamette
